Sunshine

Music video of the week: Mikelangelo Loconte: Tatoue moi - Mozart L'Opera Rock

So... I've been taking an easy weekend here in Morges.

We had to go to French on friday afternoon to make up for a day we'll miss later in the semester.  It was actually quite fine; we watched La Vie en Rose and learned some vocabulary relating to cinema.  Afterwards, we met up with the other French class and all hung out in Nyon for the night.  There was a free reggae/ska concert (and it was absolutely hilarious!)

On Saturday, I met for lunch the boyfriend of a friend from school.  He's an Englishman who is now living and working in Geneva (graduated last spring.)  He was super nice guy!  After eating, we walked around the city a little bit (it was cold but a beautiful sunny day) and I got to see some of the areas I hadn't yet been to.  I cannot wait until it starts warming up here... it will be gorgeous.

Once returned to Morges late afternoon, the Kollys and I walked to an Indian (?) chocolate shop.  Their menu consisted of at least twenty different types of hot chocolate... I got the %70 Cusco organic chocolate drink (apparently there were some subtle tropical flavors I was supposed to be able to identify.)  It was hands down, the richest and most delicious hot chocolate I have ever had.  Totally worth the 7 francs.  Thankfully, I paid.

Last night, Sofia, Jessica and I had a girls night as Jess and Jean-Claude went out for Valentine's Day.  Sofia went to bed right away, which left me and Jessica... Luckily my French is slightly improving and we were able to decide on watching a movie.  I thought she might get a kick out of Legally Blonde (dubbed in French)... I'm still not sure if she liked it, but she did laugh at some parts!  I hadn't considered how sororities, pop-culture references and other American aspects of the film might get lost in translation.

Jessica is here until Tuesday because she has a week-long break from school... I've decided I like the Swiss educational system.  They only have eight weeks of summer break, but they have more frequent breaks throughout the school year.  I'd be all about that!

Anyway, I better go because my laundry is almost done, and a guest is coming soon.  It's a friend of Jess' who is going to come with us to see a castle this afternoon.  Should be fun!  It's cold, but clear and sunny today... great for pictures!
